Day 2 - 21st May - Wadebridge to Okehampton

Day two was the shortest day of the trip and after leaving Wadebridge, there was a steady climb for around an hour on to the fringes of Bodmin moor.

Davidstow Woods was a kriss-cross of former airstrips which then became Davidstow airfield on the eastern side of the woods - very exposed and breezy on the day.

These were typical roads in Devon when away from the main carriageways, down one side of a valley then back up the opposite side. They were the reason why today was only 50 miles and taken nice and steady.

And these were typical of the afternoon leg from Launceston to Okehampton - this was the old A30 and consisted of wide rolling roads.  Progress was decent if the continual ascents and descents were getting monotonous as the miles ground by.

The last few miles were off-road Sustrans route 27 and the Granite Way - these photos are Meldon Viaduct and was the final part before arriving at Okehampton.
